Positions
We're a growing lab and always looking for more people to join us!
Postdocs
- We are actively seeking to fill an open postdoc position. Candidates who are interested in computational protein design & engineering, and are interested in contributing to an existing project or initiating a new one are invited to apply. If interested, you should contact Possu with your CV and a proposed research project/plan. Persistence is not a bad thing ;)
Graduate Students
- Interested rotation students and masters students should contact Possu directly to talk about potential projects and logistics. We welcome students with either experimental or computational backgrounds (or both).
- We do not directly admit graduate students to the lab, but do accept graduate students from any of the graduate programs at Stanford, including any of the 14 Biosciences Home Programs (e.g. Biophysics, Biochemistry, Biomedical Informatics), Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, and Computer Science. Prospective graduate students are invited to apply to any of these programs; feel free to reach out to any of us if you have questions about these programs.
Undergraduates and Technicians
- Openings in this area are dependent on two factors: availability of lab mentors and funding. We first need to ensure that we have a lab member with time to mentor you. Coming in with your own funding, such as through Bio-X or Amgen, or working for credit, takes care of the second factor, although sometimes we may have funding available to pay research assistants directly.
- Stanford undergraduates interested in working as research assistants or technicians in the lab should contact Possu directly. Funding is available through the Bioengineering REU, Bio-X summer research program, Stanford Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF), UAR Major/Minor grants. For all funding, it is recommended that you reach out to Possu directly (ideally fall quarter) if you are interested in joining for the summer. Most grants require that you prearrange a position in the lab.
- External undergraduates are invited to apply to the SSRP/Amgen/SURF summer research programs, or contact Possu directly to see if we have funded positions open for summer interns or research technicians. Feel free to contact the Office of Science Outreach for more information.
In all cases, feel free to also reach out to lab members with related research interests if you have any questions!
